Delivered on December 14, 1988, this exceptional BMW E24 M635CSi is not only a time capsule with just 21,225 km from new, but also a historically significant example. It bears the final VIN number in the production range of non-catalyst European-spec M635CSi models: WBAEE310X01052383 – the very last of its kind (VIN range: 1050001 – 1052383, produced between 12/1983 and 12/1988).
Unrestored and completely original, the car has never been tampered with, retaining its factory finish and character. It was originally delivered to Spain, specifically to G. Guarnieri S.A., a BMW dealership owned by Guido Guarnieri – the vehicle’s first and only owner. Mr. Guarnieri was not only a prominent BMW dealer in Málaga and the surrounding region but also a respected figure in Spanish motorsport.
In October 2022, this BMW M635i underwent a comprehensive overhaul at BMW Classic in Munich, with over €8,400 spent on a full Inspection, new Michelin TRX tyres, replacement of all brake hoses, a complete suspension refresh including new dampers and bushings, and extensive mechanical maintenance. Further major work was completed in April 2024 at Hackefors Bil AB in Sweden, with an additional €11,400 invested. This included another Inspection II, fitting of an OEM-compliant exhaust system, replacement of all dampers and brake hoses once again, renewal of the ABS/ASC+T brake fluid, and servicing of the headlamp adjustment system. The car is in outstanding mechanical condition, having just benefited from over €20,000 of recent documented work.
