Description
While most Bentley MK VI had standard bodies from the factory, a few hundred vehicles got specially commissioned bodies by independent coachbuilders. This car is one of these and has a sporty saloon body by James Young. Only between 40 and 50 examples of this body style were built on the Bentley MK VI chassis.
This vehicle has the chassis number B57AJ and was completely restored to a very high standard between 1980 and 1990. The owner at the time used the car a lot after its restoration especially for travelling around Europe. In the meantime a beautiful patina has again developed. The mileage indicated on the odometer probably (?) corresponds to the distance covered by the vehicle after its restoration. Today, I only use the car for relaxing tours in the countryside (in summertime only). The car is always garaged (heated).
In 2021 the clutch as well as one of the bushes of the front suspension were renewed by Bentley Luxembourg.
Moreover in the same year it got new white wall tires from Münchner Oldtimer Reifen.
In Luxembourg the car is officially registered as a historic vehicle.
