Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. In 2002, a new variant was launched, named DB7 GT or DB7 GTA when equipped with an automatic transmission. It was essentially an improved version of the Vantage, its V12 engine producing 435bhp. Aesthetically, compared to the Vantage it has a mesh front grille, vents in the bonnet, a boot spoiler, optional carbon fibre trim and new wheels. It also has 14" front and 13" rear vented disc brakes by Brembo. The original Tremac T56 six-speed manual gearbox was uprated with a short-shift lever, additionally a new 228mm diameter twin-plate AP Racing clutch was fitted instead of the 293mm single-plate original which resulted in a 22% lighter pedal effort, along with a shorter final drive to improve acceleration. Production of the GT was extremely limited with only 85 vehicles manufactured for the UK market. Limited numbers and Ian Callum's sleek and purposeful design combined to produce a sporting tourer that has bucked the DB7 collecting curve and good examples are now highly desirable.

This particular example is a hugely desirable GT, fitted with the manual gearbox, and is surely one of the very best examples out there. The car presents in immaculate order, its black coachwork is gleaming and the black interior is virtually unmarked. The car recently won its class at the Aston Martin Owner's Club concours event at Sandringham House, which is about enough reassurance of the condition as anyone could possibly ask for. This is an extremely rare car, with only 85 examples built for the UK market, this example is one for the collector, having covered just 23,600 miles. The car has a comprehensive service history and is coming from an owner who is very meticulous and ensures his cars are always kept in top condition. The car is supplied to auction with a V5C registration document, MoT test certificate valid until March 2025 and a comprehensive history file. Consigned by Fraser Smith
