The factory build sheet shows this DB4 Series IV was built in 1961 and delivered new by H.W. Motors Ltd of Walton-on-Thames, Aston Martin’s longest-serving dealer, to a J. G. Dutton-Forshaw, ESQ. originally specified in an exuberant Turqoise exterior over White Gold Connolly leather, this DB4 has since been restored to a very handsome combination of Black Pearl over Tan Connolly leather.

In March 1986, the car was sold by its original owner by a Michael L. Staines of Pennsylvania, USA and subsequently was exported to the States. Following the history in the car’s file, this DB4 stayed in Mr Staines’s care for around 30 years, in Pennsylvania all the way through to 2015 when shipping records show it was re-imported back into the UK in late 2015 having been sold to a new owner in the UK. Upon arrival it was re-registered in the UK to its new keeper, a Mr Howard of London.

After the car was sold to the current owner in 2017, R.S. Williams were entrusted with restoring this car to its absolute best. This was a full body off restoration which included an engine out rebuild to our 4.2 Litre RSW specification, body off respray and interior retrim to Black Pearl over Tan Connolly leather and complete mechanical overhaul (full details of work carried out can be gladly discussed upon enquiry).
