Description

The spiders of the 105 and 115 series are the longest produced models in Alfa Romeo’s history. When the spider was introduced in spring 1966, it received mixed reviews. Most of the hard core Alfisti would have wished for a different successor for the slightly baroque looking Giulia spider. The sporty cabriolet nevertheless turned out to be a great success (thanks in no small part to a certain graduate, Mr. Dustin Hofmann) and little changed in its shape until 1993. The example offered in Verde English stems from the 4th and last series and was handed over to its lucky first owner on the 2nd of June 1992. After most probably three changes of ownership in 2003, 2016 and 2021, the spider was taken over by its last keeper in August 2022. He provided the cabriolet with a cosmetic refreshment in 2024 and had a new soft top and new seat covers in beige leather with Alcantara centres installed. In September of the same year, a service including a change of the oil filter and new spark plugs was completed. With now 91’400 kilometres driven and a full service booklet (the cambelt had been replaced at 73’391 kilometres) the sporty little cabriolet is in very good and lovingly maintained condition and will be handed to the next enthusiast with the last MOT from August 2022.
