Description
Chassis No. 1530861
Engine No. AR00512 77136
This race-prepared 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce was professionally converted into a race car over 30 years ago. A regular presence on the track, this GTV is offered with a documented race history recorded in its SCCA and VARA log books dating back to 1990. Under the hood, the 1750's dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine is equipped with twin Weber 45 DCOE 9 carburetors, braided fuel lines, and a selection of motorsport components, including braided oil lines, a finned oil pan, and an aluminum radiator.
The car also features numerous race-oriented modifications: the bumpers have been removed, body-mounted window retention tabs have been added to the front and rear windows, and mesh grills have replaced the headlights to improve engine cooling. While the original speedometer and tachometer are still in place, the dashboard has been upgraded with a complete set of modern gauges for better monitoring systems during races. Safety is courtesy of a full roll cage, fire suppression system, and a six-point harness for both the driver and passenger-making this Alfa an enticing professionally built car that's eligible for countless vintage race series.
Acquired by the current owner in 2022, nearly $30,000 worth of servicing and race-prep was rendered to the car before consignment. The consignor utilized the globally renowned central Texas race shop, Moorespeed, to undertake a maintenance inspection, with engine and transmission oil changes, a brake fluid flush, valve adjustment, and the installation of a new clutch master cylinder. A significant overhaul of the fuel system was completed with a new ATL eight-gallon fuel cell, hoses, lines, and filter. Safety and driver comfort were improved by installing Safe Craft six-point harness, a new MOMO suede quick-release hub steering wheel, and a new Recaro Pro Racer XL SPG seat with a flexible adaptor for the XL HANS device. Fully prepared for countless vintage race series, this 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV Race Car will surely be a delight at its next vintage racing event.
