The 63-foot Riva Virtus is the new flagship of the iconic brand, the largest open yacht in the Riva range to be produced by the shipyard to date. Even though the yacht has a polished, super-glossy feel to it, the characteristic Mediterranean style and unmistakable elegance typical of all Riva models is maintained. Hence the new Virtus has subtle styling revisions, without losing any of the traditional Riva charm which has made the brand so successful for nearly 170 years.
According to Riva, the new open yacht is all about enjoying the sea first hand in the company of family and friends. Virtus designer Mauro Micheli has paid special attention to the social aspects of cruising, and consequently the vessel has larger open areas than its predecessors: two large sundecks provide plenty of space for relaxing and mingling on board. Moreover, the driving area consists of a three-seat sofa, making it possible for the captain to share the pleasure of driving the yacht with his guests.
Riva suggests the Virtus is as agile in the water as it is elegant when docked. It has twin V12 engines, which together produce some 1340HP and enable a top speed of 40 knots. The average cruising speed is around 35 knots.
The Riva Virtus has class, clean lines and refinement – everything you'd expect from the Italian brand. The larger, well-designed spaces are ideal for lazy days on the sea, when sunbathing and lounging are the priority.
