It’s an event that dazzles the snow-capped ski resorts and sold-out hotels every single year without fail, and even when the weather doesn’t play ball, The ICE has proved itself to be far more than just an annual car event, but instead a community of like-minded individuals who love Switzerland’s breath-taking region just as much as the priceless cars they bring. While preparations are well underway for 2025’s snow-covered soirée, the team knows a thing or two about summers in St Moritz too, and there’s no better place to settle a friendly dispute than on the tennis court.
Of course, this is one of the world’s most beautiful vistas, with towering mountain ranges, undulating roads, and world-class hotels and leisure activities aplenty, making it the ideal place for a summer get together with friends. The ICE wanted to showcase this in its entirety, bringing together a community of car and sports fans.
Clay. Grass. Tarmac. However you play your tennis, or drive your car, the region is bursting with opportunities. Starting the journey at Badrutt’s Palace, nestled deep in the heart of St. Moritz and offering al fresco adventures in the sun-soaked Engadin Valley, it’s the ideal place to start the tour, especially in two seemingly tennis-themed cars, the white Ford RS2000 and Porsche 911 2.7 RS. From there the club heads to Suvretta House for some world-famous aperitivos and maybe a Club sandwich, before heading out onto their immaculately prepared clay court. Finally, heading to St Moritz’s true home of racquet sports: the tennis club of St Moritz.
While we all wait like children at Christmas for The ICE to make its return, it’s easy to forget the summer months are filled with just as much car-themed goodness and elegance - there really is no off-season here. So, when the sun’s out, it’s time to bring your flair and your classic car to the court!
