The 605bhp car, built by the Lamborghini Motorsport Department and Reiter Engineering to international GT3 regulations, was Hayek’s mount in 2011 when he and Dutchman Peter Kox won the Amateur Class in the ADAC/Masters Championship.
It was also campaigned in the Blancpain Endurance Series 2011 races that aim to “give teams and drivers everything they want in a friendly, yet professional atmosphere.” In other words, the perfect environment for the ‘gentleman driver’.
Blancpain has long been associated with the Monaco Association against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and (among its many activities during a 10-year-plus involvement) last year donated a unique Villeret Grande Décoration timepiece, especially created for the charity auction Only Watch 2011.
The exciting racing car - to be offered at ‘No Reserve’ - will be sold on Saturday 12 May during RM Auctions’ two-day sale at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique meeting.
Classic Driver is delighted to join both RM Auctions and Blancpain in this very worthwhile cause. For further information, see the car in the Classic Driver Market. You can also email [email protected].
