The last off the line
Porsche’s North American arm has joined RM Sotheby’s for a very special charitable initiative. The winning bidder of this online-only auction ending on 22 April will not only become the custodian of this unregistered Porsche 911 Speedster ‘Heritage Design’ painted GT Silver Metallic, the last-ever 991-generation 911 to leave the serial production line, but also take a behind-the-scenes tour of the marque’s Weissach development HQ, including a chance to take to the test track with the two engineers who led the creation of the modern-era 9111, Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser and Andreas Preuninger. Oh, there will also be a Porsche Design 911 Speedster Heritage Design Chronograph thrown in, complete with engraving of the Speedster’s chassis number on the caseback. The proceeds (excl. taxes and fees) of this sale will be donated to United Way Worldwide’s Covid-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund, a thoroughly worthwhile cause, we’re sure you’ll agree. If you’d like to bid on this extraordinary Porsche prize, you can do so by clicking here – but hurry, the auction ends at 11am EDT/5pm CET on 22 April. Best of luck!
