Édouard Tiéche and Ernest Otto Gammeter founded the company in 1906.
December 30, 1909 Vidar is entered in the Swiss trademark register by the company L. Tiéche-Gammeter, Solothurn.
In 1916 Meyer & Stuedeli SA takes over L. Tiéche-Gammeter company in order to use the high-quality movements with anchor escapements developed in their own watches.
