The BMW M3 CS represented the final swansong of the F80-generation M3. The model benefitted from lightweight body panels borrowed from the 2016 M4 GTS, suspension revisions, all-new forged alloy wheels shod with Michelin PS Cup 2 tyres, and a useful power increase of 40 horsepower. Sharper and more focussed than even the M3 Competition, the CS was arguably the best of the F80 breed. Just 1,200 examples were sold worldwide.

The M3 CS offered was specified in special-order Frozen Dark Blue II over a Black fine-grain Merino leather interior with Silverstone stitching. It left the firm’s Regensburg plant on 11 April 2018 and was delivered on 3 May to BMW France’s headquarters. First registered to BMW France, the car served as a press demonstrator and was featured in period magazine road tests, among them the September 2018 issue of French title Motorsport. The BMW was acquired by the consigning owner three months later. In June 2022 the car was subject to a full service with fresh spark plugs, at a cost exceeding €1,000, while at the time of cataloguing the odometer read just 6,510 kilometres. The paintwork has been ceramic coated, and in October 2023, the brake fluid was replaced.

With such limited production numbers and an enviable specification that included carbon-ceramic disc brakes, an M double-clutch transmission, and adaptive suspension, the BMW M3 CS is among the most desirable M cars of its generation. The spectacular Frozen Dark Blue II finish and low mileage of this example only adds to its appeal.
