Beschreibung
"WDBFA76E6RF085762 Rare SL V12
Hard Top
American Title, cleared
Since 1989, the new SL generation R129 is on its way to become a true classic of the genre. Cut with the hard top, it becomes discoverable with its electric soft top and its anti-whirlpool net allowing to drive very fast without too much air turbulences. Initially available with the 5-litre V8 producing over 300 bhp, it is now the SL600 which tops the range with the in-house V12 already seen under the bonnet of the S class (W140). More power, more torque, a muffled velvetiness of quiet and inexhaustible strength, all wrapped up in a design as masterful as ever by Bruno Sacco.
Our example was first registered in 1994 in the USA.
Acquired in 2017 by the current owner, it was regularly serviced by the latter, a former Mercedes-Benz mechanic across the Atlantic who is a great lover of this model. If the bodywork shows a few small defects due to age, the mechanics behave well, and a road test allowed us to note the good health of the V12.
A real high-speed train, this coupé/cabriolet is very pleasant to drive in all seasons.
