Beschreibung

Rare 6 cylinder
French title

The Citroën C6 was presented at the 1928 Paris Motor Show. The first 6-cylinder car from Citroën, the C6 seems, at first sight, similar to the C4. However, it is bigger, more powerful, more luxurious and of course more expensive! This success was certainly due to its performance - it could reach 105 kilometres per hour in top speed - as well as the choice offered by Citroën at the time. Indeed, the C6 was available in eleven different body styles: torpedo, cabriolet, saloon, limousine, utility...
In 1929 the C6F was presented. It had wider tracks than the C6E. A special C6 was presented to Pope Pius XI in 1930 by Citroën's Italian subsidiary. Built on a
C6F chassis, it was bodied as a "coupé de ville".
It was with a C6F that the Yacco oil company began its endurance records in 1931. The specially profiled vehicle, called "Rosalie", ran continuously from 22 October to 1 November 1931, breaking 14 international records, covering 25,000 km at an average speed of 108 km/h.
Our saloon was first registered in 1930, the last owner undertook extensive mechanical revisions so that the car could participate in many historic rallies and outings.
The exterior is in good condition overall, one wing was unfortunately rubbed by the owner in a garage. Atypical and statutory, the C6 is the first 6-cylinder of the brand which will make this engine the must-have of these future models."
