This 1938 Cadillac LaSalle Opera Coupé for sale that we have at JJDluxeGarage was a luxury car back in its time. LaSalle was an American brand of luxury cars manufactured and marketed by the Cadillac division of General Motors from 1927 to 1940. Alfred P. Sloan developed the LaSalle concept and some other General Motors brands to fill the perceived price gaps in the General Motors' product portfolio. Sloan created LaSalle as a company brand for Cadillac. LaSalle cars were manufactured by Cadillac, but they had lower prices than the Cadillac branded cars and they were marketed as the second most prestigious brand within General Motors. Just like Cadillac, the LaSalle brand was named after a French explorer, René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle.
