Beschreibung
BMW M3 E30
In 1987 BMW introduced its new M3 to the world. It was necessary to create a super sports car for the road, and at the same time a car that allows the brand to win on the DTM tracks and on the roads of the World Rally Championship. Thus was born the M3 model, a sales success, and a sporting success, with the brand conquering several titles and victories, with the biggest highlight falling on the overall victory in the Rally of Corsica in 1987, in the car's debut on the winding roads from the French island, where it hit without appeal or aggravation all the competition.
This is a vehicle prepared by the renowned German preparer Hartge. Hartge was born in 1971, when brothers Herbert and Rolf Hartge, who were also drivers in the German touring categories at the time, decided to take their experience from the track to street cars. In 1985 Hartge is considered not only a preparer, but also an automobile manufacturer. From here it was easy to leave with a brand new BMW Hartge. In the beginning, Hartge cars were prepared to compete in mountain climbs and rallies, in the workshop in Merzig, in western Germany, here changes were made to street cars with increased displacement, larger carburetors, more aggressive controls and prepared suspension. Today, Hartge concentrates its modifications on the car's electronic systems, reprogramming the central electronics to extract more power from any engine in the line, when necessary, changing mechanical components to suit the new cavalry.
