Trade-in car. Isn’t this great? An Opel Commodore GS/E was a car that could depend on an enormous group of enthusiasts in the 70’s. The sharp lined carriage, those wonderful and delectable fuel injected straight-six engine. This is an Opel the likes of which Opel unfortunately no longer make. Did you know the Commodore GS/E had 25 Ps more available than the basic Porsche 911? The Opel Commodore GS/E also had the nickname of the “German Charger”. The 2.5 litre engine develops 152 Ps and even had more power than carburettor 2.8 litre version. The engine is attached to a manual 4-speed transmission.
Our car has not been driven for some time and requires some attention. The bodywork is largely sound but will need work. The car actually has not been on the road since 1978, meaning you will have a blanc sheet to start you restoration and not have to worry about rectifying someone else's poor attempts. This car was initially supplied in Munich and taken to Sweden by its first owner where it spend the majority of its life, though mainly in shed.
There is a fair amount of work needed to bring this car up to scratch. It will require bodywork restoration and a respray. The mechanicals will need extensive attention and whilst the interior trim is in fine condition, it will need a deep clean. All the elements are present to create a great Opel Commodore GS/E! THIS VEHICLE IS IN OUR STORAGE, VIEWING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
