The magnificent company founded by Giuseppe Gellera in Milan in 1909 distinguished itself particularly for the technical and stylistic refinements of its models, both economic and sporting. At the end of the Second World War, Gilera did not miss the opportunity to conquer the market for light and economical motorbikes and began by presenting, in 1949, the 125 cc model, a single-cylinder 4-stroke engine with fairly modest power, which was followed in 1952 by the 150 cc version with a completely revised engine compared to the previous eighth of a litre and offered in two versions, the Turismo, with parallelogram front suspension and the Sport with a telescopic fork. The Sport model is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to take home a brilliant light motorbike from the house of Arcore. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
