The 911 ‘S‘ was Porsche‘s top of the range sporting model throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, a period when the purest and most desirable versions of the great 911 were produced. Initially available in 2 litre guise from August 1966, it boasted a higher fifth gear, anti-roll bars front and rear, Koni shock absorbers, ventilated disc brakes and the first production ‘fuchs’ wheels. The first edition, known as the ‘67S’, had a number of features unique only to this model and thus rarity has seen the model sought out by serious collectors.
Fully restored at huge expense, the owner believes this car to be the oldest remaining matching numbers 911S in Europe, having been built on August 5th 1966. The car was originally sold in November 1966 through PC Southeast in Jacksonville, USA and spent most of t
