1972 Aston Martin V8 Competition Saloon
Registration no. TGF 109L
Chassis no. V8/10716/RCA
Engine no. V/540/576
Estimate: £45,000 - 60,000
Footnote:
This competition-prepared Aston Martin V8 was built in the 1990s using a fuel-injected 1972 model as the basis, and was first campaigned successfully in 2000 by the father-and-son team of Arthur and Boysie Thurtle. Constantly modified and updated, it has competed in many Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) Championship races with a number of wins to its credit. Stratton Motor Company's Roger Bennington has driven it also, taking the highest-placed Aston Martin award in the AMOC Intermarque Championship.
The current vendor bought the car in 2004, repainting it in his company's corporate
colour, silver. In his hands it continued winning in both AMOC and
Heritage Grand Touring Car Challeng
