Beschreibung

The Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2-liter Roadster is a timeless classic that perfectly captures the spirit of 1960s British motoring excellence. With its sleek design, powerful engine, and innovative features, this car made a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide. Loved for its stunning looks, superb performance, and thrilling driving experience, the Series 1 4.2-liter Roadster remains a cherished icon of Jaguar's legendary E-Type series.

Exterior: This 1966 4.2 E-Type Roadster is finished in the popular and iconic color of gunmetal gray. The exterior chrome pieces, of which there are many, are in exceptional condition. The car sits on completely new wire-spoke wheels with tires featuring thin white stripes. Its roadster configuration gives it a gorgeous appearance, enhanced by the iconic covered headlights and delicate tail lights. For days when the weather doesn't suit a convertible, the car features a black soft top that can be easily folded up.

Interior: The red leather interior provides a beautiful contrast to the gunmetal gray exterior of this Jaguar E-Type Roadster, a classic combination adored by most E-Type enthusiasts. This combination is particularly striking given the roadster's open cockpit design. The gauges, interior details, and chrome pieces are all in great condition.

Engine and mechanics: The 1966 Jaguar E-Type Roadster is a brilliant car to drive. Its 4.2-liter inline-six engine puts out an impressive 265hp, paired with a fully synchronized four-speed gearbox, making for an enjoyable drive. Under the hood, the car looks like new, and it pretty much is. The engine has recently been fully restored, as has the rest of the car's mechanics. Underneath, the car looks just as good as the exterior, with very minimal signs of usage after the restoration.

History and documentation: Like most Jaguar E-types that we have in Sweden, this car was imported back in 1992 from America. But at this time, there was no difference to the European model. It was registered here in 1993, and then in 2011, a full restoration started. All the work was completed in 2024.
Complete bodywork and new paint.
The engine and gearbox underwent a full rebuild.
Nearly all other parts fitted to the car are new original Jaguar parts, including the exhaust system and all bushings and joints in the front and rear end.
The brake system underwent a full rebuild with new parts.
A new soft top and convertible cover were installed.
The interior was completely refurbished with red leather.
The car passed Technical Inspection in March 2024.
It is a matching numbers car with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate.
