Beschreibung
This is an original Lotus 110 production frame manufactured in October 1994 by South African company Aerodyne, a rocket and composite manufacturer contracted at the time by Lotus Cars Ltd. to supply the production and commercial version of the frame at the time.
This bicycle comes with its original bill of sale from May 1996 when the GAN Cycling Team bikes were liquidated by Lotus Cars Ltd. after the partnership with the World Tour team folded and all bikes were returned to the car manufacturer. Originally supplied at the start of 1995 to the cycling team, it was part of an additional 19 bikes restock and used during the 1995 season only. At the time ridden by Yvon Ledanois, it then went through two different owners before sale to the actual owner at the beginning of 2024 who completed a full restoration of the bike to it's World Tour glory over the course of 2024. Supplied without its original fork which were faulty at the time of manufacture and known for terminal failure, a new one was manufactured through Target Composites in the UK, additionally a full Mavic groupset and wheelset, including the famous 3G front tri-spoke, along with a Comete disc wheel were sourced to bring it back to full period specification.
This is frame No. 9410200154 details the bike as manufactured in 1994 (94), October (10), a Size Medium (54-56cm) and frame number 154 as stamped on the bottom bracket bonded into the carbon monocoque construction, it sports its original GAN Cycling Team stickers along with the original name tag of its orginal rider.
