Beschreibung

-Medium Grey with Blue-Grey leather interior, Grey carpeting, Older restored, 6.2 Liter V8 engine, 6.2 liter V8 engine, Automatic gearbox, 1 of 49 produced, Collector ownership.

One of only 49 left drive examples built from 1960-1962. This aluminum bodied example was first delivered to Dr. George Westgate on 26, May 1960, finished in a very elegant color layout of Medium Grey with matching Blue Grey hides as it appears today. Dr. Westgate was also the owner of a very elegant Style 7484 H.J. Mulliner Convertible finished to match.

During the late 1980s after capturing the 1987 RROC National Award, the plaque still on the dashboard, it found its way to the stable of the highly respected UK sales & restoration facility of P.J. Fischer who evidently carried out a high quality cosmetic & mechanical review before selling it on to new ownership in Sweden. It is this previous ownership where it was recently acquired. The kilometers per hour speedometer currently in place was required for operation in that country. The odometer reading was 97,353 miles as stated by the seller from whom we received it. The 1989 P.J. Fischer inspection report shows 93,360 miles at that time.

The original interior wood veneer has been restored to show quality and an authentic original air conditioning has recently been installed. Included with this Continental are the correct handbooks & complete tools, the small ones in their special Mulliner box accompany the automobile along with copies of the factory & coachwork records. The original chassis, engine & body have never been separated from each other and it has never sustained any accident damage in its 63 year history.

Sold to its most recent owner, a well-known musician-celebrity by Autosport Designs, Inc, this Bentley has been used and enjoy as the family touring car and enjoyed to the fullest in and around the Montecito, Santa Barbara, California area. Recently traded back to Autosport Designs, Inc., it is well-serviced and ready for immediate use and enjoyment once in within its next ownership.

Although never fully restored, this automobile was awarded First Place Honors in the Postwar Rolls-Royce & Bentley Class at the recent Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance. The Tiffany glass trophy shown in the photos will accompany the car to its next home. True British motoring elegance and convenience at its best.
