Ford USA Shelby GT350 1967

1967 SHELBY GT350 4 SPEED

THIS CAR HAS ORIGINAL NIGHTMIST BLUE PAINTJOB AND A 4-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION! IT'S A PERFECT INVESTMENT-GRADE CAR!

History

The Shelby GT350 is an iconic American muscle car that holds a significant place in automotive history. It was created by Carroll Shelby, a legendary figure in the automotive world known for his work designing high-performance cars. The story of the Shelby GT350 begins in the early 1960s when Ford wanted to inject some performance into its Mustang model, which was introduced in 1964. Ford approached Carroll Shelby, who had already gained fame for his work with the AC Cobra and other racing cars, to collaborate on a high-performance version of the Mustang.
In 1965, the first Shelby GT350 was introduced. It was based on the Ford Mustang Fastback, but underwent significant modifications to enhance its performance on the track. The GT350 featured a modified version of Ford's 289 cubic-inch V8 engine, producing around 306 horsepower. It also received upgrades such as a high-rise aluminum intake manifold, a larger Holley carburetor, a more aggressive camshaft, and special exhaust headers.

The car

We are excited to announce the arrival of a stunning Nightmist Blue, 1967 GT350 4-Speed Early version! This car boasts its original engine, transmission, rear axle, and even the rare original carburetor. Its exceptional condition extends from underneath the car to its interior and exterior, promising a truly impressive driving experience. Following comprehensive servicing, this GT350 will be ready for immediate enjoyment, delivered right to your doorstep.

In 1967, only 1,175 Shelby GT350s were produced, including both fastback and convertible models.
The option of a 4-speed transmission was available to buyers.

This complete car offers an exceptional driving experience. With its lightweight front end, the GT350 offers superior steering and handling. Braking and cornering are a pleasure, highlighting the exceptional craftsmanship of this vehicle. Interestingly, the production numbers for GT350s were significantly lower than those of GT500s. The K-Code engine, boasting 306 HP according to stock specifications, likely delivers even more power, as insurance companies undervalued these cars, resulting in higher actual horsepower ratings after minor tune-ups.

It was signed on the sun visor by Carrol Shelby and Chuck Cantwell.
