Beschreibung

First introduced at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, the 330 GTC offered elegant Pininfarina styling, state-of-the-art handling, and exceptional performance. Built upon the same platform as the 275 GTB Berlinetta, the 330 GTC’s 4-liter V-12 engine was connected to the rear-mounted transaxle via torque tube, which provided greater rigidity and reduced vibration. With the addition of all-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, driving the 330 GTC was, and remains today, a true pleasure.

The 294th of 600 Ferrari 330 GTCs built, this example, chassis 10309, was delivered new in October 1967 to Ferrari dealer Dino Ravasio & Figli of Verona, Italy, in its original configuration of Bianco (White) over dark red leather. It remained in Italy until 1974, when it was imported to the US and acquired by John Francis Besozzi Jr. For the next 35 years, it would enjoy single ownership before being sold in 2009. Shortly after being acquired by its next owner, it would undergo a complete, ground-up restoration, which was completed in 2014 by Bjorn Nordemo’s Sports Leicht Restorations of West End, North Carolina. Throughout the nearly two-year restoration, a great effort was made to adhere to the International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile Manual for As-Built Configuration and Judging.

During the rotisserie restoration, the body was brought to bare metal and repainted in a stunning dark blue. The engine compartment, side panels, and undercarriage were also carefully refinished. Upon reassembly, panel gaps were set to as- or better-than-new tolerances and the brightwork was replated. Lights, lenses, and emblems were either restored or replaced as well. The engine, torque tube, and transaxle were rebuilt, and an all-new ANSA exhaust system was installed. The suspension was removed, refinished, and freshened up with new bushings, seals, tie-rod ends, and ball joints. The brake system was also rebuilt with new fluid reservoirs, and the GTC’s cast Campagnolo wheels received period-correct Michelin XWX tires.

In addition to installing Dynamat underlayment throughout, the interior was re-upholstered with Cuoio Toscano leather on the seats, door, and side panels. A tan Wilton carpet was chosen, and the dashboard and center console were re-covered in appropriate black vinyl. Components including the gauges and original Becker Grand Prix AM/FM Stereo were expertly overhauled, and the factory air-conditioning system was also refurbished. Following its restoration, which is documented by extensive invoices and photographs on file, the 330 GTC passed through the hands of an additional collector in 2015, before being acquired by its current owner, an avid vintage and modern Ferrari enthusiast. Well cared-for and selectively driven, 10309 is being offered in much the same condition as when its restoration was completed, and its presentation is simply spectacular.
