The original Mini is considered a British icon of the 1960s and its space saving front wheel layout allowing 80% of the cars floorplan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford model T. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980s and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging.

This example is presented in metallic British Racing Green with cream leather interior with a walnut dash and door cappings. It comes with a Webasto electric sunroof, two original keys, very good history file including some photos of various works carried out previously, its book pack with service book and owner's manual, drivers manual and radio operation manual. This Mini also comes with lots of history/paperwork with a pictorial history of all restoration work carried out. These little 'pocket rockets' are great fun to drive, being powered by its lively 1275 engine and with its comfortable leather seats and sunroof, makes this a practical classic which is economical to run and enjoyable to drive.
