Beschreibung

The Porsche 991 GT2 RS Clubsport, introduced at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, represents the pinnacle and farewell of the Type 991 series. Designed as a turnkey race car for global track-day events, the model stands as Porsche’s most powerful customer GT car to date.

Sharing the 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged, flat-six engine with the standard GT2 RS, the Clubsport version features several key optimizations, including a new intercooler with a redesigned supply-and-return air feed and a water spray system to help cool incoming air and decrease intake temperatures. Developing 700 hp at 7,000 rpm and 553 lbs./ft. of torque at 2,500 rpm, power is channeled to the rear wheels through a rigidly mounted seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) dual-clutch gearbox. Additional enhancements include a revised exhaust system and three-way adjustable shock absorbers with individually adjustable compression and rebound settings.

To maximize performance, Porsche implemented significant weight-saving measures. Carbon fiber-reinforced plastic was used extensively on the roof, front lid, front bumper, doors, tail section, and rear deck lid. In true motor sports fashion, nonessential comfort features were removed and replaced with an integrated safety cage, onboard data acquisition system, removable carbon fiber steering wheel, 115-liter FT3 safety fuel cell, airjack system, and an FIA-approved Recaro racing bucket seat with a six-point safety harness.

Weighing approximately 1,390 kg (3,064 pounds) dependent on additional equipment, the Clubsport is 165 pounds lighter than the standard GT2 RS. Yielding an impressive power-to-weight ratio of just 4.3 lbs./hp, the Clubsport is stated to be capable of accelerating from 0–60 mph in 2.7 seconds and achieving a top speed of 211 mph. Notably, a Manthey Racing-prepared GT2 RS driven by Lars Kern set a production car record at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in June 2021, finishing the lap in 6 minutes and 43.3 seconds.

This particular Clubsport is no. 98 of 200 units built at Porsche’s Motorsport Centre in Flacht, Germany, where the 911 GT3 Cup, 911 RSR, and 919 Hybrid were also developed. Coated in Pure White (C9A) without a livery, this Clubsport comes with an extensive spares package including wheels and brake components. Other accompanying items include its original delivery items, documentation, and technical literature.

This rare and exclusive Clubsport is ideal for club racing events and eligible for sanctioned GT2 competition with some modifications. Offered in pristine, unused condition with delivery miles, this GT2 RS Clubsport is perfect for track days or as a prized addition to any collection of limited-production Porsches.
