Beschreibung

Unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, Ferrari’s highly refined new 330 GTC was a svelte, high-speed coupe with a luxurious, spacious, and elegantly trimmed passenger compartment to match, in the finest Ferrari grand touring tradition. Pininfarina designed and built the subtle, elegant bodywork to exceptional standards with sleek frontal styling inspired by the 500 Superfast.

Powering the 330 GTC was Ferrari’s four-liter V-12 engine equipped with three Weber twin-choke carburetors, factory-rated at 300 hp. With fourwheel independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a five-speed transaxle, the 330 GTC delivered outstanding speed and handling, ideal for fast transcontinental dashes.

Bearing chassis 11077, this 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC is an exceptionally desirable, Ferrari Classiche-certified example that benefits from documented care as evidenced in its extensive history file. Throughout its life, the 330 GTC was owned, maintained, and appreciated by a succession of collectors and classic sports car enthusiasts, including Laurent Lemire of Montreal, who, in 2006, shipped 11077 to Modena, where it was inspected and certified by the Ferrari Classiche Department, receiving its coveted Red Book, which accompanies the sale.

In 2009, chassis 11077 received a restoration, including a color change from the original silver to the current red over tan leather interior. Eight concours and show entries followed in 2010 and 2011, with 11077 earning Best Italian GT Car honors at the 2010 Greenwich Concours d’Elegance, First in Class at the 2011 Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance, and First in Class at the 2011 AACA Naples-Marco Region 23rd Annual Depot Meet.

Following an engine rebuild performed by specialist SportAuto by Bill Pollard Inc. in 2013 and further professional service and sorting, Tom Larsen acquired 11077 in 2016. He and his wife participated in several events with the Ferrari, including the 2016 Misselwood Concours d’Elegance, where it won the Misselwood Award in Class VII – Vintage Sport & GT (1960–1969). Other events included the April 2017 edition of the Copperstate 1000, exhibition at the 2017 Sunday in the Park Concours d’Elegance at Lime Rock Park, and the 2022 Audrain Newport Concours and Motor Week Tour d’Elegance.

In addition to the aforementioned Red Book issued by Ferrari Classiche, 11077 is accompanied by a tool roll, jack, and knock-off hammer, as well as prior ownership records, concours entry forms, correspondence, and over 150 pages of service and restoration invoices. With its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, and concours award history, this 330 GTC stands as a wonderful example of one of the best classic V-12 GT cars ever built by Ferrari.
