Beschreibung

Chassis No. ZFFPA42B000100764

Engine No. 38114

Unveiled in May 1994, the F355 can be credited with reestablishing the performance credentials of Ferrari's V8-powered sports cars, with Csaba Csere of Car and Driver writing, "Finally, we have a V8 Ferrari worthy of the prancing horse." The 3.5-liter, 40-valve unit produced 380 horsepower and happily revved to an 8,500 rpm redline, pushing the F355's capabilities past previous generations every way. Available in Berlinetta coupe or GTS targa body styles at launch, both models made use of a pressed steel monocoque while new underbody aerodynamics vastly improved high-speed stability. Its stunning Pininfarina-penned lines were complemented by new 18-inch magnesium wheels, and inside, a more practically packaged interior housed the ever-desirable six-speed metal "gate" and polished aluminum shift knob.

This F355 hails from the first year of production, completed in November 1994 as a left-hand drive, European-market example. As such, it boasts clear front running lights, a non-airbag steering wheel, and most notably, five horsepower more than U.S.-market examples producing 375 horsepower. The original warranty and service book records that the Ferrari was delivered to its first owner, Rolf Pieck of Karlsruhe, Germany, on 26 November 1994 via Michel Weber GmbH in Offenbach. Registration documents on file show that the car remained in Germany until the early 2000s, with a Dutch document showing the car's first registration in the Netherlands on 22 June 2007. A U.K. registration certificate places the Ferrari in Broxbourne, England as early as June 2014, where it remained prior to its importation to the United States in 2024.

Entries in the service and warranty book as well as service invoices document a life of fastidious care over the past three decades, with records from 1998-2024 showing service visits at 7,385 km, 22,600 km, 28,584 km, 31,808 km, 33,286 km, and most recently, 34,244 km. The latest visit in March 2024 to Bell Sport & Classic in St Albans, England included a full engine-out timing belt service, new tires, sticky-buttons repair, and interior refurbishment. With mechanical sorting the car is now offered in fine cosmetic condition, resplendent in timeless Rosso Corsa over a Nero targa top and Nero Connolly leather upholstery. Accompanied by its Schedoni leather tool kit and books in their leather folio, this well-kept and fully serviced F355 GTS is ready for many more years of spirited gear changes and open-air excitement.
