With a low and beautifully sculpted body, the Jaguar XK120 is instantly recognisable as a masterpiece of craftsmanship and style from the 1950s. But what truly sets this XK120 apart is its powerful six-cylinder engine that pushed boundaries at the time and remained Jaguar's flagship engine well into the 1990s. With the introduction of the SE, or Special Equipment, power increased to 180 hp, and this version received sportier suspension, among other upgrades.
 
Did you know that the XK120 owes its name to a speed record set in 1949, when a roadster was clocked at over 120 mph on the Jabbeke Highway in Belgium? This car is all about speed and performance, and every drive feels like a journey back to the golden age of racing.
 
In later years, this legend evolved into the XK140 and XK150, each with their own unique features and improvements. But as with many models, the earlier XK120 remains very pure, and that's why we love it so much!
 
Our Jaguar is from 1954 and looks beautiful with the period-correct black body colour and red leather upholstery. This is the Special Equipment version, making it one of only 2,194 left-hand drive examples with these specifications. What's interesting about this particular car is that it is eligible for the Mille Miglia!
 
This XK underwent restoration work several years ago, including a mechanical overhaul and overall we can describe this icon as a neat and well-maintained vehicle. Despite showing normal signs of use on the exterior, for example, the paintwork has been well cared for. Underneath the car, everything looks good with normal signs of use. Inside, we find beautiful red leather upholstery with nice carpets. The gorgeous Nardi steering wheel emphasizes the sporty character of this Jaguar, and the Smiths gauges are in good condition. With this roadster, we also provide documents showing that this Jaguar recently underwent extensive technical maintenance.
