A patinated, stylized bronze sculpture of the ill-fated 1966 Jaguar mid-engine sports-racing car, with engraved artist’s signature, edition number 3 of 8 and dated 1989. The bronze is mounted on a polished marble base. Complete with artist-made wooden crate. Condition notes: Crack in marble base.

Developed by Jaguar for competition at Le Mans, the prototype XJ13 never raced, but in 1966 was worth three times more than a Ferrari 250 GTO. During filming of a promotional sequence for the launch of the V12 E-Type in January 1971, the XJ13 was crashed by a Jaguar test driver, and the wreck languished in a Jaguar workshop for many years. Rebuilt some years later using the original body jigs close to the original specification, this unique vehicle regularly makes public appearances.
