The 1954 Triumph TR2 Long Door is a quintessential British sportscar celebrated for its simplicity, charm, and performance. Introduced by Standard-Triumph, it featured a 2.0 litre inline-four engine delivering 90 horsepower, enabling a top speed of around 105mph—making it one of the fastest cars in its class. Its 'Long Door' design, characterised by doors extending below the sill line, gave the car a sleek, distinctive look. This early Triumph TR2 Long Door was purchased by our vendor from the previous owner who had been the keeper of this impressive convertible for the previous 62 years. This stylish Triumph had already undergone a complete nut and bolt restoration and presents well in black coachwork with a new 'Blackberry Vynide' interior. The hood is in good order and complements this stunning example. The extensive history file contains various bills and receipts, a build sheet certificate, buff logbook and V5C registration document.
