Trade-in car. We have a very rare 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk. Towards the end of the 50’s Studebaker was not in the best financial situation. The Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk was actually a very extensive facelift of the Studebaker GT. This Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk has been imported from the States and in particular from California. As the car had always resided there it still has her original “Black plate”. The bodywork shows some light blemishes but otherwise it has good and correctly aligned body panels. The paintwork has faded somewhat, but a thorough polish would brighten her up no end. The interior trim is in very good condition. The leather seats are in a very good state with a lovely patina. The carpets are neat. The Studebaker has a 289 cu V8 engine coupled to a 3-speed automatic. The engine is running, but would benefit from being serviced. Finally the chassis is exactly what you would expect from a car kept in the warm Californian climate: Solid as a rock! The Hawk has become quite a rare sight. According to the American Studebaker register only 900 remain. You can imagine that this side of the pond it is an even rarer sight.
