1967 saw the introduction of the Silver Shadow cabriolet, the fruit of a new partnership between Rolls-Royce and London coachbuilder H.J Mulliner Park Ward. Its widely acclaimed comfort is characterized by the suppleness of its suspension, the silence of its V8 engine and its equipment (air conditioning, car radio, power steering, electrically adjustable seats, electrically operated soft top...). This Rolls-Royce convertible changed its name from Silver Shadow to Corniche in March 1971. Numerous improvements were made over time. This symbol of British elegance and prestige is in demand everywhere and is exported all over the world.

The example we are offering for sale was acquired new by a famous conductor from the factory in Crewe, in left-hand drive. The car was delivered to him in this configuration, and shortly after delivery, it was transported directly to the south of France, where it remained for its entire life until it was acquired by the previous owner, a man from Normandy. The current owner purchased it in 2023.

Since its acquisition in 2023, a major service has been carried out, with over €17,000 in invoices. The work includes an oil change and oil filter replacement, as well as a gearbox oil change and the replacement of the pickup and associated seals. The speed seal of the gear selection, the gearbox capsule, and the water hose under the gearbox have also been replaced.

Among other notable interventions are the replacement of the front engine mount, the two fuel pump hoses, and the eight spark plugs. The non-compliant pollution control system has been removed, and an electronic ignition with a new coil has been installed for better reliability. The belts have been replaced, and aesthetic improvements have been made, including the adaptation of a right front mirror and the replacement of the left front glass.
