From the very beginning, the Camargue has been a very special car. It was the first Rolls-Royce whose design was created entirely outside the factory. It was Paolo Martin from Pininfarina, the famous design agency from Turin, Italy, who created the design. The Camargue became the first Rolls-Royce to be built with metric dimensions, the first Rolls-Royce with curved side windows, with fully automatic air conditioning, with Nuella leather in the interior, and so on. The model was launched in March 1975, but even in the next years it received numerous firsts. For example, in 1979 the Camargue was the first Rolls-Royce to receive mineral oil in the hydraulic system, and the rear undercarriage that would later be used in the Silver Spirit. Simultaneously the car received double headlight wipers. At the end of 1986 the curtain fell on the Camargue and 529 copies had been sold. The Camargue at Kaeve Cars is from model year 1985, one of the last model years, and therefore has all the firsts and improvements on board.

The Camargue shared almost all technologies with the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, including the engine and gearbox. In the front is the 6750 cc V8 with an estimated power of 220 hp. This accelerates the car to 100 km/h in approximately 10 seconds and the top speed is around 190 km/h.

When introduced, the Camargue was by far the most expensive car in the world. The price of the Camargue grew from £29,250 in 1975 to £83,122 in 1986, almost tripling the car's price in ten years. The fact that the Camargue was by far the most expensive car in the world from the start, attracted many people to the showroom all those years to view the car. Even now that the Camargue has become a classic car, it still attracts a lot of attention and raises many eyebrows.

The Camargue at Kaeve Cars was built to European specifications and was delivered new to the Caribbean island of Barbados. It has been repainted in the past. The car still has the original blue Nuella leather interior, which is in such good condition that it matches the low odometer reading of less than 20,000 kilometers.
