Beschreibung

The Rolls-Royce 20/25HP was built by Rolls Royce as a successor to the 20 HP from 1929 to 1936. The “small” Rolls-Royce was intended for customers who wanted to drive themselves, but numerous examples were sold to clients traditionally employing a chauffeur. The 20/25 was very successful with 3’827 chassis built over a period of seven years which, after completion, received coachworks from different coachwork shops. The example offered, chassis GTK63, was delivered to Thrupp & Maberly in London in January 1937 where it received its body to the design TC. 1138, a 6-seater saloon with folding seats to the rear and a separation. On the 10th of September the noble saloon was finally delivered to a Mrs Flanagan from Lytham (Lancashire). After a number of UK owners, the Rolls-Royce, by then in somewhat dilapidated condition, was imported into Switzerland by a specialist of the brand in 1991 and sold to a garage. Over the next 14 years this garage, specialised in Rolls-Royce automobiles, performed a complete and thorough restoration. In 2006, the 20/25 was taken over by its last owner and used for occasional excursions over the last 18 years. As is shown in the receipts and documentation available, during the wintertime the car was put on jacks and benefited from regular maintenance. In September 2023, less than 1’000 miles ago, the starter motor was overhauled and the engine oil changed. Currently the Rolls-Royce is in very good condition and the last Veteran MOT was completed in September 2024.
