Beschreibung

ADA888 Chassis GMD 75 is a 20/25 2 door Sports Saloon ordered from Rolls Royce in 1934 by Mrs Ada Scribbans of Little Aston Hall, Birmingham who also owned a 20hp. Her Coach builder of choice was W.C. Atcherley, a small company based in Birmingham who were responsible for the Brough Superior. Her instruction was to build a unique 2 door saloon, on a long chassis with large doors and a passenger seat larger than the drivers seat and mounted on a swivel seat to cater for her elderly husband. Ada as the 20/25 is affectionately known, also features many storage compartments for blankets etc, in addition to pull out cup holders, Art Deco picnic table and door handles, sunroof and overdrive making for relaxed cruising. Mrs Scribbans owned Ada until her death in 1954 covering some 50,000 miles. The second owner Mr J Farrington, then used Ada extensively and started a comprehensive journal of Ada's maintenance and journeys which was then carried on by its subsequent owners. Its most recent owner a well respected member of the RREC and Engineer also continued the journal of maintenance, journeys and shows attended, one of which included a tour of New Zealand and a jaunt to the South of France. Ada is presented in exceptional condition and imminently ready for shows and tours.
