This pretty Porsche tractor is a Junior model, A 111, from 1956, which was delivered new in France by Ateliers Ph. Goetzmann S.A in Strasbourg. It is powered by an 822cc single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engine, which develops 12bhp at 2200 rpm and is mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
Its current owner, a tractor enthusiast and amateur restorer, acquired it from a farmer, who had inherited it from his father. A little frightened by the extent of the restoration to be carried out, the latter decided to sell it. Significant restoration work was therefore necessary, and this example was completely disassembled, all the bodywork components sandblasted, then repainted in the famous original red shade to take the vehicle back to its former glory. On the mechanical front, the top of the engine was opened and the segments replaced for safety. Four new tires have been shod and the restoration was completed in 2021, which means that this Junior has hardly been driven since. With its beautiful looks and its Porsche crest on the hood, this tractor has its place in a selective collection, or can provide you with invaluable help in taking care of your garden or estate.
