Fahrzeugbeschreibung:
Premiere hatte die erste Generation des Panamera auf der Auto Shanghai im Jahr 2009. Seit dem 12. September 2009 ist er auch in Europa erhältlich. Zur Gewichtseinsparung sind Motorhaube, Türen, vordere Kotflügel und die weit öffnende Heckklappe aus Aluminium. Außerdem sind in dem Wagen die V8-Saug- und Turbomotoren aus dem Porsche Cayenne verbaut. Der Kofferraum hat ein Volumen von 445 Litern. Nach Umklappen der Sitze stehen 1250 Liter zur Verfügung. Die Serienfertigung des Panamera begann am 08.April 2009. Porsche plante damals eine Jahresproduktion von etwa 20.000 Wagen. Tatsächlich wurden in den ersten zehn Monaten 20.600 Panamera verkauft.
