The Porsche 991 is according to many the Porsche that stands wonderfully between the new and old generation of this iconic model. The beautiful line, not “nullified” by all kinds of spoilers, skirts and diffusers, comes into its own and the car is still of the “to wear” size. The latest models are more out of proportion, which even the designers of Porsche confirm, but nevertheless made that way because the market demands it. So be it. We, and probably you too, otherwise you would not be reading this with interest, are more into the older and pure designs. Designs that never get boring, and that you actually want to drive and enjoy as much as possible. And some owners do that every day. The lucky ones… Most of us, however, have the Porsche 911 “as an extra”. Nothing wrong with that, because with non-everyday use it never becomes ordinary and it remains an adventure every time you get in, and you are amazed again at how nice, well thought-out and of perfect quality the car is.

This pure and two-wheel drive Porsche 991 Carrera 2 S Coupe from 2013 certainly provided that pleasure to the three previous owners. The first was a Frenchman who filled out the order form and also choose for a whole list of options. “Vivre la vie” he must have thought. The list is too long to process in the text here, so take a look at the column “options and accessories”. Then it was an enthusiast from Germany who was allowed to take over the keys and call himself the owner until the current and Dutch Porsche hobbyist took care of the well-being of the 911. This together with his son who works as a Porsche mechanic. And of course you want the best for your father, and so here too the car was maintained in the best possible way. The current mileage is 101.866 km and it goes without saying that all booklets, invoices and a valuation report are present.

Of course, there is nothing to complain about the technology, that is clear. But also the beautiful “Kobalt Schwarz” paintwork and immaculate black full leather interior are great. The 991 makes it clear from all sides that we are dealing with a real enthusiast’s car. And we really like to see that. Not a beat-up and track-used car. No, really used exclusively to enjoy as much as possible and to keep it in the best possible condition.

De Porsche 991 is volgens velen de Porsche die heerlijk tussen de nieuwe en oude generatie van dit iconische model staat. De prachtige lijn, niet verstuurd door allerlei spoilers, skirts en diffusers komt helemaal tot zijn recht en de auto is nog van de “om aan te trekken” grootte. De nieuwste modellen zijn meer uit proportie getrokken, wat zelfs de ontwerpers van Porsche beamen en toch zo worden gemaakt omdat de markt dat vraagt. Het zij zo. Wij, en u waarschijnlijk ook, anders zou u dit niet met belangstelling lezen, zijn meer van de oudere en pure ontwerpen. Ontwerpen die nooit vervelen, en waar je eigenlijk zoveel mogelijk mee wilt rijden en van genieten. En sommige eigenaren doen dat dan ook iedere dag. De bofkonten… De meesten onder ons hebben de Porsche 911 er echter ”bij”. Niks mis mee, want bij niet alledaags gebruik wordt het nooit gewoon en blijft het iedere keer als men instapt weer een avontuur, en sta je weer versteld hoe fijn, doordacht en van een perfecte kwaliteit de auto is.

Deze pure en tweewiel aangedreven Porsche 991 Carrera 2 S Coupe uit 2013 leverde dat genot wel zeker aan de drie vorige eigenaren. Als eerste was het een Fransman die het orderformulier invulde en tevens een hele lijst met opties aanvinkte. “Vivre la vie” zal hij wel gedacht hebben. De lijst is te lange om hier in de tekst te verwerken dus kijk eens rustig in de kolom “opties en accessoires”. Vervolgens was het een liefhebber uit Duitsland die de sleutels mocht overnemen en zich eigenaar mocht noemen totdat de huidige en Nederlandse Porsche hobbyist zich over het welzijn van de 911 mocht ontfermen. Dit dan wel samen met zijn zoon die als Porsche monteur werkzaam is. En je vader gun je het beste natuurlijk, en dus werd ook hier de auto weer op de best denkbare manier onderhouden. De huidige kilometerstand is 101.866 km en het spreekt voor zich dat alle boekjes, facturen en een taxatierapport aanwezig zijn.

Vanzelfsprekend is er niets aan te merken op de techniek, dat mag duidelijk zijn. Maar ook het prachtige “Kobalt Schwarz” lakwerk en smetteloze zwarte vollederen interieur mogen er zijn. De 991 maakt van alle kanten duidelijk dat we met een echte liefhebbersauto van doen hebben. En die zien we heel erg graag. Geen afgejakkerde en op het circuit gebruikte auto. Nee, echt uitsluitend gebruikt om zoveel mogelijk van te genieten en in zo’n mooi mogelijke staat te behouden.
