Beschreibung
"This superb 1982 911 SC 3.0 Targa has recently undergone a full bare metal restoration. The restoration included a backdate to pre 1973 specification and to ‘Resto-mod’ configuration. During the restoration process all necessary areas were extensively repaired including sills, kidney bowls and jacking points, as well as a bare metal respray to its original factory colour of Slate Blue Metallic. Also fitted during the ‘Resto-mod’ restoration were genuine Porsche 16 inch Fuchs wheels which were treated to a refurbishment in an RSR type style. All the rubbers, seals and trims were replaced at this time and genuine, brand new, steel Porsche panels were also fitted. This work was all carried out by Porsche paint and body specialists Lemass automotive to their exacting standards and is a testament to the quality of their work. Undertaken during the restoration was a comprehensive top and bottom end engine rebuild by Porsche Specialist Zuffenhaus, the bill totalling £18,000 for parts and labour.
Completing the early 70s look is the freshly re-trimmed period tartan blue leather interior featuring genuine period correct Porsche Karo Madras cloth with lightweight RS style door cards to match. The Momo Indy heritage steering wheel, mahogany & maple gear knob and retro modern Blaupunkt Bremen all add to the period style.
The comprehensive history file that accompanies the 911 is very impressive and includes a full Porsche History over two service books, many receipts, and its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming its original colour and matching numbers engine. Also present in the file is the original sales handover letter from 1982! Offered with an external hard drive of over 1000 photos fully documenting the restoration, including bills equating to over £67,000!
Recently treated to a full paint correction and ceramic coating, the coachwork presents in superb order. The vendor reports that the 911 runs and drives very well indeed having recently completed a 1,100 mile return trip to the Le Mans Classic where it performed faultlessly. The car starts on the button and pulls very well through the 915 gearbox and sounds incredible via the twin outlet Dansk sports exhaust. This matching numbers example showing 113,000 miles on the odometer has covered very few miles since the exhaustive restoration and is ready to use immediately. This is the best ‘Resto-mod’ example we have seen and we are sure it will enhance any serious collection."
