Beschreibung

The 3.2-liter Porsche Carrera arrived in 1984 and would be steadily refined until the 964 platform supplanted it in mid-1989. This 911 Carrera Cabriolet is an outstanding example, benefiting from low mileage and consistent care.

As reflected by a copy of the Porsche COA and an original window sticker, this Carrera Cabriolet was finished in Baltic Blue Metallic and trimmed with a Linen and Marine Blue interior. Optioned with automatic heating control, a power-operated cabriolet top, and front and rear spoilers, the car was distributed through a California dealership.

In June 1989, the Carrera was purchased by Fresno residents John and Sharon Lawson, as noted by service records and stamps in the accompanying service booklet. A file of registration cards and invoices shows that by 1995 the car belonged to Kingsburg, California, resident William Vanbeurden, who retained it for five years. In September 2000, the Cabriolet was owned by Glen Pierce of Fresno, who kept a 13-year maintenance log documenting his care of the car. As of 2013, the car was residing in New York, where it was owned by Michael Dimaio of Laurel Hollow. He sold it to his brother, collector Jack Dimaio, of Lloyd Harbor, and then it was purchased by the consignor. Displaying 30,449 miles at the time of cataloguing, this stunning Carrera is an ideal candidate for top-down motoring or display at local Porsche gatherings.
