Service booklet
The history of the Porsche 911 is so deeply rooted that it needs no introduction. Nevertheless, the 996 marked a major change in the life of the most famous of sports cars. It introduced a liquid-cooled engine and almond-shaped headlights. This was perhaps a little too much for Porsche fans, who saw the 993 as the last Porsche. Although the liquid-cooling system was retained on the 997, the replacement for the 996, the almond-shaped headlamps were replaced by more traditional, more Porsche-style circular headlamps. Born and bred, the 997 was one of the best sports cars of its generation, and its success was matched by the numerous versions in the catalogue: Carrera, Carrera S, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Turbo, Turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, GT2, Cabriolet, Targa, etc...
At the end of 2008, the 997 generation received its first restyling, direct injection became standard across the range, the lines were revised and the fabulous PDK gearbox replaced the ageing tiptronic.
The car we are offering is a Carrera equipped with the 3.6 engine producing 345 bhp and the fabulous PDK gearbox. The car features an exceptional configuration combining Racinggruen Metallic paintwork with a superb beige interior. Options include a sunroof, cruise control, PDLS Xenon lights, GPS, garage door opener and heated seats and steering wheel.
Delivered new to the Stuttgart factory, this car was subsequently regularly serviced in the Porsche network, as its service booklet tells us. Imported into France in 2019, it then came into the possession of our collector. He then undertook a major overhaul at the Porsche centre in Rouen, at a cost of more than 2,000 euros.
Only partially used since then, this Porsche now has just 80,000 km on the clock. Almost unique in its exceptional configuration, this 997 is one of the last naturally-aspirated 911s produced.
A genuine petrol collector, this beautiful 911 is undoubtedly a true classic.
