The Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, produced during the revered 993 generation (1995–1998), marked the end of the air-cooled era. It combined the wide-body design of the Turbo with a naturally aspirated 282-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive, blending style with performance. The C4S featured "Turbo-look" 18-inch alloy wheels, wider tires, larger brakes with red Turbo calipers, and Turbo suspension components. Enthusiasts admired its aggressive yet sleek design, enhanced stance, and superior performance over the standard Carrera. Its all-wheel-drive system improved traction and handling, especially on slippery roads. As one of the last Porsche models with an air-cooled flat-six, the 1998 Carrera 4S remains a firm favorite.
Finished on 30 October 1997, this final-year Carrera 4S was finished in Glacier White over a rarely seen partial leather interior in Chestnut Brown. It features the sporting six-speed manual transmission and was optioned with full driver's side power seat, wheels caps with colored crests, and the Technic Package that included an AM/FM radio with CD player with anti-theft coding and a removable control unit. The CARFAX Vehicle History Report shows initial ownership in New Hampshire and then Pennsylvania before being acquired by a new owner in Washington state in 2000 with 7,537 miles on the odometer. In 2010, the car changed hands again landing in Oregon for the next 11 years. In 2021, the C4S joined the collection of Rudy Mancinas, known in Porsche circles as "Mr. 993." Mancinas enjoyed tastefully modifying his 911s. This Glacier White example features RoW Turbo S-style front air intakes and driving lights, RoW rear taillight lenses, and a lowered ride height with M030 sport suspension springs. Unfortunately, Mancinas passed that year in August and a portion of his collection was sold off in the spring of 2022 with the consignor acquiring the car at that time. This rare final-year Carrera 4s, just one of 295 produced for the United States, is offered with 57,664 miles and furnished with a thick binder of with service receipts and Porsche specification data sheet, a thick binder of with service receipts and Porsche specification data sheet, its toolkit, jack, spare, air compressor. Highly coveted, collectible and usable, these end-of-the-run 911s have truly come into their own and ranks among the most cherished of all 911 models today.
