Beschreibung
When the name Pagani comes up, it is usually a synonym of Art, Refinement, and Performance. Born in 1992, Pagani Automobili was for many just another young car manufacturer that, like many others, thought he could take on the big boys at Ferrari. The company, which many thought would just disappear in a year’s time, is now thirty years old, generating 106 million Euros of revenue per year, and employing 150 employees. Unlike several brands where the creator and founder has vanished, Pagani is still very much run by the man himself, Horacio Pagani. It is not like Mr. Pagani followed his dream of starting his own company without experience. His resume is quite simply incredible, and just before embarquing on his solo adventure, he was at Lamborghini, convincing the management that carbon fibre was the way forward, before it was commonly used in road cars.
The first car produced by the company, the Zonda C12, was a revolution in terms of design and carbon fibre manufacturing. Making use of one of the best German engines, the 6.0 liter Mercedes-Benz V12 from AMG, the Zonda had an amazing performance for the time, and needless to say, it sounded glorious. The Zonda in its several iterations, paved the way for the completely new Pagani Huayra. Named after the Incan god of wind, the Huayra sported the twin-turbo M158 V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG, producing around 740 PS. The body and chassis were made of a newly developped composite, called Carbotanium, a lightweight composition of carbon fibre and titanium. The Roadster, introduced in 2017, is a limited edition numbered out of 100.
OUR HUAYRA
Our car is one of the 100 Roadsters, specified in an anthracite grey with naked carbon fibre middle section and dark red stripe. A stealthy specification which goes hand in hand with the car’s design. The attention to details is in typical Pagani fashion mindblowing. No plastic to be seen anywhere, just a blend of carbon fibre, metal, aluminium and leather. The interior is an incredible place to be, and the driving experience is unlike anything else on the road. The turbo whistle dominates the sound coming from the V12, similar to the strong sound of wind, which earns the car its name. The Huayra was finished on the 21st of August of 2020 and delivered to Germany. A service was carried out in September 2021 at the local Pagani dealer in Germany at 754km. Today, the odometer shows a mere 800km. Accompanied with the car is a hard- and softop, the leather pouch with books and manuals, the Pagani Huayra Roadster book, a battery conditioner, and of course, the original Pagani car cover.
Owning a Pagani is an experience in itself, although small, the company earned itself a cult status and being a customer means one gets the opportunity to belong to a small circle of very fortunate people who together, write the history of Pagani. One must experience at least once in his life the build quality and attention to details of a Pagani, which is truly unlike anything else. The yearly Pagani Raduno event offers a great opportunity to test one’s car and driving skills on the road, surrounded by beautiful Italian landscapes. The brand offers a lot more than just cars to their customers, and being in the circle is something the fewest can dream of.
