This Mini 1100 Estate was born in February 1978, it is an XC 2 type. Its current owner acquired the car in 2017 and underwent a major restoration. The body was stripped bare for a total repair. The painting was therefore redone inside and outside in shiny gray, during this time, the body was "aged" with MK.1 type hinges and door handles, the grille was replaced by a wavy model reminiscent of the first Mini, and a facing made of wood was affixed to the rear of the car. The interior was redone in high-quality red imitation leather and a Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel came to dress it all. The engine was also restored, as well as all its peripherals and the gearbox. The running gears adopted silent-blocks, shock absorbers and new bearings. The electrical harness was completely redone. The Mini is now in near new condition, its paintwork is very beautiful, as are its woodwork and interior. Its engine does not show any oil leaks and the engine compartment offers a nice presentation. At the wheel, the Mini behaves well, the engine and gearbox show normal operation, just like the running gear which does not reveal any noticeable failure. We were able to see the undercarriages of the car during a technical inspection and found them to be in good condition, with no signs of corrosion. The car will be sold with a set of photos of the restoration follow-up as well as an appraisal estimating its value at € 29,500.
It’s an extremely engaging car that we are presenting today, a huge hit with passers-by and an aged appearance that pairs beautifully with the reliability of a newer model.
