Beschreibung
Already with its 163 hp 2 litre base engine the SLK of the R170 series was a very reliable and sporty little cabriolet. With the AMG 3.2 litre V6 engine available from 2001, delivering 354 compressor-charged horsepower, the little Mercedes really turned into quite a menace to any Porsche 911. Our example of this rare species - only 4’333 examples could be sold at a prize exceeding 90’000 Swiss francs - is a Swiss delivery and was first registered on the 30th May 2001 before being handed over on the 31st May through Garage de l’Étoile SA in Renens to its first owner. After two further owners in 2004 and 2007, the pretty Mercedes was taken over by the last keeper towards the end of 2024 with then 165’000 kilometres driven. He used his car enthusiastically and, as can be seen with receipts provided since 2007, always made sure the car was thoroughly maintained. In 2018 for example, at around 173’000 kilometres, the front crankshaft pulley including its vibration damper, all belt tensioners and the water pump were replaced. Shortly afterwards the SLK received 4 new Bilstein shock absorbers and in 2020, at 176’782 kilometres, the steering damper as well as all brake hoses and the air condition condenser were replaced. With now 183’000 kilometres showing and a full service booklet, the rare AMG is in very good and well maintained condition and will be handed over to a new fan of the legendary Stuttgart brand with the most recent MOT from January 2024.
