"The R107 and C107 were built to exacting engineering standards, unsurprisingly, and with a more than subtle air of sophistication. What marks these streamlined sports cars out from the rest is the comfortable rear two seats, sublime power delivery from the larger engined models and of course, the legendary Stuttgart build-quality. These imposing pillarless coupés have now become rare and prices are rising. 
 
This striking example was originally sold to the USA and then imported, by the owner, to the Lebanon in circa 2000. The vendor has replaced the American bumpers with the more elegant European units giving the car a cleaner and more understated look. The bodywork is also in generally good condition having just received fresh paintwork. The chromework is above average, and the Mexican Hat alloy wheels and Bridgestone tyres are all in excellent condition. The interior is also in good order although minor attention is required to the driver’s seat bolster and the dashboard wood is delaminating in places. The overall quality and ride are good though, especially with its new battery, and are testament to the overall build-quality of these cars. With good history, you could say this has just been ‘run-in’.
