Beschreibung
-Midnight Blue with Red interior and Red carpeting, Fully Restored, Automatic transmission, Factory air conditioning, Factory hard top.
The Mercedes W113 type, nick-named "Pagoda" due to a distinctive and patented concave hardtop roofline. Many see as one of the most beautiful cars ever built.
All 280 SL models were equipped with an inline 6-cylinder engine with mechanical fuel injection. The comparatively short and wide chassis, combined with an excellent suspension, powerful brakes and radial tires gave the 280 SL superb handling for its time.
Restored by European Collectibles, Costa Mesa in 2016, this Mercedes was completely disassembled so that every aspect could be properly addressed. Everything has been rebuilt.
Purchased shortly after its restoration by Autosport Designs, this 280 SL was subsequently sold to a long-time West Coast friend and client of ours. Used extremely infrequently, it has been serviced yearly to keep in its exceptional restored condition. The restoration has stood the test of time and looks as fresh today as the day it was completed.
Finished in a beautiful period correct color combination, it drives as good as it looks. Truly one of the best 280SL Roadsters that you will find and not easily duplicated.
