The 600 SEC was positioned as the pinnacle of the Mercedes-Benz model range when released with its all-new 6.0-liter V12 engine. They offered a strikingly elegant yet aerodynamic design with a fluid, seamless shape and a unique two-door pillarless form with an interior that provides comfort for both front and rear-seat passengers. Building on Mercedes-Benz's century-long legacy of innovative automobiles that set new standards-such as the 540 K of the 1930s, the 300 S Coupe of the '50s, and the 280 SE Coupe of the '70s-these new models continue that tradition with refined technology and dramatic design.

Delivered new to Japan in Blue Black Metallic (199) over a Black leather (261) interior, this 600 SEC represented the pinnacle of personal luxury from Mercedes-Benz when new. The car was lavishly equipped with Adaptive Dampening System (ADA) with four-corner self-leveling and selectable driving modes, Automatic Slip Control (ASR), dual pane side glass, a glass sunroof, all three rearview mirrors are electrically adjustable, heated orthopedic front seats, power rear window shade, and a headlight wiper/washer system. Significantly adding to the appeal of this coupe, the car was upgraded by AMG Japan with a subtle AMG body kit and 18 inch AMG Monoblock wheels.

The car then remained in Japan until it was imported to the United States in October 2021. Since then, the car has benefited from the replacement of the upper and lower engine wiring harnesses, rewiring the throttle bodies and mass air flow sensors, repairing the Pneumatic System Equipment (PSE) pump, and replacing the door lock actuators in 2022 that totaled to nearly $5,500. More recently, the car received a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires in preparation for the sale. Today, this 1993 Mercedes-Benz 600 SEC remains in splendid, highly original condition, having covered just over 15,500 kilometers or the equivalent of 9,500 miles at the time of cataloging, which was confirmed by its JEVIC odometer certification of mileage.
